Pet Protect Guelph has been a program in the community for the last 5 years. We are proud of the work we have done, and are so grateful for the support we have received. 5 years later, 52 clients and over 70 animals reunited with their families, we have made the difficult decision to close our program down.
Our remaining funding will still remain with our parent organization, the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition (GNSC), and go towards a brand new initiative.
In 2017, our founder Elizabeth Vardon approached the GNSC looking for support to get Pet Protect Guelph off the ground. With her passing in 2019, our goal is to honour her memory with the remaining funds. We are creating the ‘Elizabeth Vardon Start-Up Fund’ through the GNSC to allocate funds to new community initiatives.
It is important to note that our Pet Food Pantries will still be operational at:
– Brant Neighbourhood Group
– Onward Willow Neighbourhood Group
– Parkwood Gardens Neighbourhood Group
We want to thank our volunteers and community partners for making this program possible.
What do our clients have to say?
“I want to thank you so much for all the help with our dog. Your program is the best outreach for people in need. I hope more people will be able to be as blessed as we were through our troubling times. Thank you so much.”
